SEASONS
Open the door
The wind is blowing right in my face
Another year is gone and I’m moving along
With a winter song that sings in my head
Travelling light
The countryside is shuddering still
Time is like the water that creeps through the land
Waiting for the sun to warm our hearts
Seasons change, life remains
A momentary journey up hill
And then later plainly going down again
Seasons change, and so do we
And when I’m raking leaves on the path, together
I’m musing over spring
Summer is here
The corn is growing high
Children playing out in the streets and we drink
Trying to forget all things yet to come
Into the night
Looking at the stars
Geese are flying high in the sky ‘cause they know
Soon it will be cold and dark again
Seasons change, life remains
An everlasting journey down hill
And then later steady going up again
Seasons change, and so do we
And when I’m raking leaves on the path together
I’m musing over spring
Clouds gliding past my windowpane
But the sun shows his blinding face
Again and again and again… |
